With an embarassing record this year, my alma mater (Syracuse) was not even close to bowl eligable, but I was glad to see the performances of WVU and Louisville, despite the utter fraud of a team that USF now seems. The Big East conference had a down year, but it'll be back.

I have a friend who left for Vegas (via Independance air, but that's another story) to visit his fiancee's parents, so I asked him to shop for a line on the UT/USC matchup and if he found one that was more than 7, put a few bucks on Texas for me. I've seen a lot of coverage about how great USC is, and very little about Texas, but I think it's a huge mistake to think that USC will be able to roll over Texas the way they did most of the PAC-10. I'm expecting Texas to try and jump out to an early lead, and the final should be closer than many people think.
