Who are the better action movie heroes today?

Like four mentions of the Rock and no mention of The Rundown?

I think his acting is beyond passable which I really first noticed in The Rundown.

Kill Bill was an excellent duo/series/whatever of movies that really fit the action/martial arts genre. Although, they had powerful emotional appeal which sets them apart from older movies of the same type.

Movies today aren't like the action movies of yore, they seem to be less muscle and more brains as far as the heroes are concerned. I actually can't even think of a good action movie that I've seen in the past 1-2 years with the exception of The Rundown.
