Supposedly you can run the game without textures and lighting by adding the command option -notnl:

"C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe" -windowed -notnl

Also, I recommend turning off the sound (control-S). If your issue is your RAM or hard drive, this will help since the game will not load the sound effects from disk into RAM.
