8 dead pixels is A LOT. I'd suggest looking for a shop with a better policy (and, if memory serves, they have to change it if the monitor has dead pixels wherever they like it or not, defective products and all that, but it'd be a pain in the butt).
Dead pixels are an issue. I suggest steering clear of these guys and going to a shop where replacing the monitor if a red dead pixel is at a bad spot won't be an issue.
As far as specs go it seems ok. Contrast should be better though, luminosity is quite nice.

From what I have seen, most places have that 8 pixel policy. I haven't checked Toms Hardware yet though.
