Hmm. I'm having systematic troubles involving memory/hardware access... although less trouble in general when turning off virtual memory.
I can tell a CPU temporary slowdown to a HDD access freeze. This is the latter.

P4 2.8(A) Ghz
1.5 Gigs ram
GeForce Ti 4600
120 Gb HDD's x 2
/w 15 and 97 gb parititions on first HDD, Windows XP SP2 on the 15 Gb HDD.
Various services disabled based on information from blackviper.com
Latest known Nv Gfx card drivers.
