Great story, Doc.
Although I like all animals, my best friend was a cat. I like to call him my best friend, but I was always curious of what he thought of me.
He was killed back in 2002. I probably miss him more than anything. Often I try not to think of him, for the memories only bring pain and tears. Then that usually makes me think of other horrid things...
