The first time I died, it was because I was standing in a cloud of poison after killing a big tree dude. Killing the tree dude leveled me up and I was too focused on what cool new abilities I unlocked instead of the poison I was standing in.

If that was the 'Old Man' yellow tree, I did the EXACT same thing, without the excuse of having leveled up . I was identifying a rare drop. Smart.
