Seconded. I heard this story on the radio and immediately thought Hume was making a mistake, and that he has perpetuated the characterization of Americans as culturally insensitive, under-educated fools. I for one may be under-educated, but I'm smart enough to keep my mouth shut.
I have no idea whether the conept of forgiveness enters into Budhist teachings, but it seems that Tiger has caused himself enough sorrow as a result of his desire.
