There. Now I won't be cluttering up other threads with all this nonsense.
First, for the sake of completeness, here are the current versions of Bolty:
... and [wcip]angel:
(EDIT: See below)
If either of you want any changes done to your micro (and heck, I don't even know if Bolt wants his...), just let me know.
Also, Obi2Kenobi asked for a Captain Obvious micro. I wasn't sure if he was joking or not, but I went ahead and made it.
I actually went and found a couple Captain America micros to reference. although I made sure to make some small but measurable changes in the costume. The shield I actually copied from one of the micros and edited a bit - it was much easier than making one myself would have been. <_< Obi, if you want any changes let me know.
If anyone else wants a micro, feel free to ask. I don't dare offer to do micros over at the COH forums, but the crowd here is a bit more manageable. :D Please include as thorough a description as you can (or images, if you have any), and whatever pose you'd like your micro to be in. I'm limited by what pose templates I can find on the 'net, but there's a fair variety. No promises that I can get you something exotic (spidey crouching pose, for example), but I'll try.

Well, Captain Obvious could be based off of Obvious Man from Wiley's Non-Sequiter.
He's like a middle-aged guy with glasses, a high forehead, receding hairline, and a unitard that says Duh with the Universal No over it. :P

Huh. I didn't know that.
I was just going by the image Obi2Kenobi supplied me. ;)
Were you requesting a middle-aged Captain Obvious?

Ooooo. Very nice, indeed Warlocke.
Do you think you could add a little blood on the fangs?

Sure thing. Let me know if this is enough - I didn't want to go overboard, but it doesn't look as exaggerated when it's not all zoomed-in. :D

Fantasy makeover? Who could resist?
Make me a comic book hero, sign unseen. 'Twould be most interesting to see how others might view me from the images conjured in their mind.
Awaits results.
All alone, or in twos,
The ones who really love you
Walk up and down outside the wall.
Some hand in hand
And some gathered together in bands.
The bleeding hearts and artists
Make their stand.
And when they've given you their all
Some stagger and fall, after all it's not easy
Banging your heart against some mad buggers wall.
"Isn't this where...."

Of course not; that's the whole point of me making these! ;)
It's yours to do with as you wish. I would like to ask, though, that if I ever decide to throw my micros up on a webpage, whether you'd mind if I included yours? It's not a problem if you'd rather I didn't.

Ooh.
This'll be a challenge. I'll have to think on it a bit.

Well you're doing all the work.
It's your intellectual property... Or at least I think it is since you would be the comissioned artist. So I waive all exclusive rights over the image. Feel free to do what ever :D
So what will I look like?

Well, we all know you're crotchety and like your guns....
And even though I know you live in Louisiana, I couldn't resist this.
So, I present... The Barefoot Cowboy!
As usual, let me know if I got anything wrong, or if you want any changes. :D

Actually, I live in South Carolina.
It looks good. But pea shooters?
I do go bar-footed most of the time.
And oddly, green is my favourite colour and the colour I wear the most.
Looking good. I will let others list changes to the idea. This is an interesting social experiment.

Yeah, sorry about that. I don't trust myself to draw decent firearms, and the only template I could find with any was that one. And he started out caucasian, too - had to recolor him head to toe. Grumble grumble...

Wow, I'm a mind reader... or something. :D

Oh. Hrmm. Learn something new every day, I guess.
I like how I'm a guinea pig, too. ;)

Oh yeah, and tell me if he doesn't look enough like the original. If it's good enough, feel free to host it for your own use too. ;)

I had nothing else to do today, so I decided to rework Bolty:
I think he looks much better now. B)
Hrmm, maybe I can do a Forum Heroes squad or something along those lines. Who to do next?
... Pete?

Woud need to make Pete an android. Or something.

Ok, you already know the template given my Wal-Mart spy pic. :P That gives us close to the spherical shape. Next would be the glowing green costume. Is it also possible to have one hand horizontal, to the side or forward, holding a glowing green orb? One last touch would be a neck length ZZ Top beard. Hmmm, probably going to be ugly but what the hey, art captures the model, right?

Ah-ha! I like this! P.E.T.E. it is, then. B)
Going to have to find a mean pose, one that looks like he's about to unleash...

... You really want it done with that obese template??
Okay... Don't know if I can get the arm right for you, and some sort of reference for the "ZZ Top beard" would be nice. Any specifics for the costume, or just 'green'?
And last but not least, the Captain Obvious I did kept nagging at me, because I copped out and didn't do his shield the way I should have. So here's version 2:
(EDIT: Now on page 2)
Man, you can't appreciate how hard it is to write in pixels until you try it! <_<

It's a freeware and open source alternative to Adobe's Photoshop. It's not quite as powerful as Photoshop, but then again it's infinitely less expensive.
Note that there is a steep learning curve when using The GIMP (just as there is when using Photoshop, I suppose). Google-up some GIMP tutorials to help you out.

Actually Dee, I have a copy of the GIMP (it may be outdated by now, though, I suppose), but I don't find it as intuitive to use as PSP. I don't know if that makes me an MS wh0re or what, but meh.
The comment you quoted was about the 'DUH' on Captain Obvious' shield; it's relatively easy to make recognizable letters at the pixel level, but it's a different matter getting them to look halfway decent. :D
