Meditation and Minions

Meditation now takes on prayer's healing as its synergies but the aura doesn't seem to able to stick to minions or mercs at all. Anyone know if the minions/mercs actually heal from meditation?

It appears no, which I was VERY disapointed to see. Why prayer is the only aura to drain mana is bad enough (was blizz afraid the prayer pally's would breeze through the game too easily?)? Any bets on anything EXCEPT blizz just screwed up and decided it wasn't worth fixing? So, of course, they also take away the ability to use the meditation/synergy bonus on the mercs.

You know, I try to keep my blizzard bashing to a minimum. I am VERY grateful they allow the use of battle.net free, so many years after the game was first released. I am pleased they still work on the game, even if I disagree with the direction this patch took. But let's face it -- many, many elements of the game are still just plain sloppy.

And here I was thinking they didn't do it because mercs and minions already have their own life regeneration settings.

I guess they figured that, since minions can't have any mana, there's no need for them to get a meditation aura. They just forgot that the prayer synergy makes it useful for anyone.
