Merc & Set Items Questions

#1 - Can mercs wear sets items?

#2 - Do mercs gain additional set bonuses when multiple set items from the same set are worn?

#3 - Are there any cool merc/full set combos that stand out above the rest? Assuming #1 & #2 are true?

They can wear set items and do get the partial/full set bonuses like players.

The only sets mercs can actually complete are Isenhart (act 3) and Sazabi (act 5, and act 3 if you do something about the stat requirements). Which is not to say that these would actually be good choices.

armor and helm gives life leech, that can keep act 1,2 and 5 merces alive. Useful in the beginning.

I'm giving an act 5 barb Sazabi's set to see how well he does. He should be okay, but i'm wondering why I didn't just go get him Arreats, Shaft and a good sword.
