OK, today I am in my rant mode, or rather, in my "do pointless things" mood, so I was at this validation site and tried out a few places, including this. To bad it didn't manage to identify much anything here, so we will not know. Still, some other sites with a bunch of "errors" (or not parsable by the site:

Some made it decently!

Actually there is useful stuff in this post. HTML is a standard, and W3C is a widely recognized organization. Having done web coding and having to make sure things pass standards it's very nice to have a parser. I used some local perl scripts on our web server for a lot of mine and it was an older standard version (since it was several years back), but life would be better if web designers ran their pages through something like this. They aren't perfect but they are helpful tools.

This site is nowhere near validated.

Yes, the first link was for this site actually and it couldn't even determine the character encoding and appearantly failed to figure out enough to even start a validation :)
By the way, Blizzard's site (second link) got a very long list of errors, but then, we know they code for IE specifically (and perhaps make adjustment afterwards) and so on.
