I actually fully agree with you (why doesn't quoting work in mobile?) roguebanshee. Whenever I got to people's houses, they TV is generally always on providing background ambiance only, and the crap seems to be near 30-40% tumor inducing commercials, and the rest of what's on TV is hardly worthwhile. I guess the "good" shows don't air when I've seen TV.
