These are things to try: 1) If you normally start from wow.exe... start from launcher.exe (this was my ultimate fix) 2) Run repair.exe and choose check. 3) In Vista, run as administrator 4) Go to fileshack and download manually. http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/13572/Worl...+3.0.8+-+US/AUS There was some BS about making a new administrator account for XP users in Tech support forum, but I think that's total BS. I ended up running repair.exe first, but I don't know if I really had to. That didn't fix it until I started launcher instead of WoW.exe
