Thanks for the reply; I finally got online tonight, thought I would get back here before this.
That sounds about like Chaos Gate. Hmmm, I have Earth 2150, but haven't gotten around to trying it yet. One of these days...
I'm not really that familiar with the Warhammer pen-paper/miniatures world, except for having scanned over a couple of such-like websites when I was looking for the patch and some info about Chaos Gate, so I wouldn't be bothered by differences between RL 'rules' and the computer version. I guess I will keep my eyes open for a good price on it, though I think it's already come down from it's original release price.
