But when I put the pictures into a gif, the animation was way too large. And the backgrounds of the different pictures were completely different colors. (I think the reason for this is that, as more of the bus was in the picture, the light from the background was reflected differently, producing slightly different colors. Or something like that. I'm sure there's a good physics reason behind the lighting but I'm not entirely sure what it is.)
So I had to doctor up the background with the paint bucket tool. Luckily, the paint bucket tool did a good job of preserving the shadow of the bus. I only had to do a little pixel by pixel editing to make up for the times when the paint bucket tool didn't get the outline of the bus quite right.
