I would just like to say that around 30 years ago I once dated a "Kandi" , yup that was her given name and no one gave her name any thought , bit unusual maybe . Wonder if she ended up stripping :P .
On another note in D2 two real life friends of mine always played together , One a woman the other a man . Now we also met what we thought at the time was another woman , acted like a woman in chat etc . My friend fancied her to bits , always went on about her , logged in just to talk to her , I think you get the picture . Anyway we decided to use Roger Wilco in game to see what it was like , we also invited said woman . Now , we all got set up and before we went in , this woman , not mentioning names , kept going on about how deep her voice was , we where saying things like " nice , I like husky voices " and " I love " Kathleen Turners voice" etc . Anyway we gets into a game , all mikes on , all started chatting away , when this "woman" speaks . Pardon ? you are a little low , turn up your mike . Very faintly but getting stronger came this voice which can only be described has a "BIG HAIRY MAN " . Now since that event , we indeed find out it was a bloke , my friend was gutted , really gutted , he had some sort of relationship on-line with him and had hoped it would go further , oops . But the question is , his voice was in no way shape nor form that of a woman , how did he think he could get away with it ?

Wow.

The moral of the story was intended to be something along the lines of, don't make assumptions about the people you meet.

Your story...I don't even know where to begin. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at your friend there. Maybe laughing would be best, as he found out before he met face-to-face. :-)
take care all,
