Alternative to GMail?

Is it just me, or does this seem like a really big load of garbage?  I mean they dont even mention the "you can get a free account now" on the main page, waiting for you to go through all of the registration stuff before saying "we arent offering this"  I dunno, just seems like a shady move to me.

I dunno if it's shady or not. It might just be a "clever business model".

Ah well, it doesn't matter to me anymore because I scored myself a GMail account B)
