Hi,
Thirty odd years ago I acquired a Great Dane puppy. At that time, due to a few recent litters, I had 22 felines (most of them of the kitten variety). Sam (the Dane) was at first fully integrated into cat society, but eventually his doggishness won out. Other than his preference for communal sleeping, and his mistaken belief that he fit on a lap, no trace of the kitten he had been remained in the 180 lb dog he became.
Not to worry, Doc. Except for possibly being cleaner than the average dog, Charity should do fine. :)
