When you say "all the time", does that include when you have D2 minimized to look at the task manager?

If it does, then it is a problem, and I'm afraid I can't offer any suggestions.

If not, then there isn't anything wrong at all since it's not uncommon -- indeed, odd otherwise -- for modern games to hog the CPU.
