Shooting might be a bit harsh ;)

I don't personally feel bad for him. But isn't he someday going to look back on his *life* and see that he's wasted so much time, and ammounted to nothing. It's sad in the way that you can see how an addiction to this stuff can take over your life. I agree with you however about the publishing it thing, perhaps he's just interested in his article's shock value? Obviously he makes a *name* for himself by making sure everyone knows he is a completely hopeless addict. Bizarre..
