I've sworn off buying absolutely new cars just on the "bang for buck" principle. I usually aim for a slightly used car with about 10-20K miles on it.

I'm hoping my next vehicle will be electric if
- the prices come down under $30K,
- fits my commute range (100+ miles RT) ,
- works in the hostile climate here,
- and I can find one as I mentioned, slightly used.
