It's important to note this game is online only, so it's suggested you have a decent internet connection to prevent lag that will lead to character deaths and frustrations.

A note on this: Latency is a lot more important than connection speed. I was playing for most of this week on capped speeds and it had no effect on playability at all. Prior to the introduction of the Australian server however, when I could never get a ping under 300ms, even at full speed the game was often completely unplayable.
