If you feel that way, surely a taxi would work? A family member did that one fine day when he was sure he needed urgent medical assistance (he was right). Taxi drivers take you where you tell them to go.
And, please post soon to let us know you are ok?
Ah, yes, but you have to pay them (assuming you can find one). If I had thought of a taxi last night I might have tried that option. I was pretty desperate. As a senior citizen I can get free medical transportation from the county but that stops at the county line. Which unfortunately does me little good.
I *think* I am OK now, thanks. I had a rough night, actually about a rough fourteen hours. I never had a problem quite like this one. Around daybreak I felt something like a drain being unclogged and my colon started to fill up. I could actually feel it.
My best guess now is that I had oatmeal (and apple) poisoning. Which sounds a bit strange, but there is a similar case documented here:
Deadly Dinner Party
I eat a lot of oats, raw and cooked, plus a lot of black beans. Maybe not a good idea. Too much soluable fiber can stop things up like cement according to the book I linked, which I read around a year ago. I never suspected my consumption might be in the pathological range.
According to wikipedia someone with a bowel obstruction produces "tinkly bowel sounds". How nice. Though I think I prefer guitar.
