I was going through some old stuff I'd written elsewhere, and came across this, dated Feb 28, 2005.
"Then the Guild party started. I got my escort through to the party, as I'd not have easily made it without it. Then I was given my first ever Guild tabard. This is important, because in all the years of gaming that I've done, this is the first ever Guild that I've joined. I don't lightly throw myself in with others in the gaming world, but I've been hanging around with the Lurkers for years now (since Diablo) and figured I'd 'take the plunge'.
After some dancing, drinking, duelling, and fireworks in Goldshire, several of the level 60's decided to do the Stormwind Raid Event, and invited us along. So we went, and we ended up ganging up on about 6 other level 60+ Elite monsters. My C is level 10. She couldn't hit them with her bow and arrow to save her life. Then one came running at me. He missed me with his claws, but accidentally sneezed on me as he went by, and I died. After I ran back, it was almost over, but I got to see the end of it, as I was just in time. Funky stuff!"
This was way, way back when I had first made Mirajj to go specifically to this event. I was mostly playing on another server at the time, and wanted to hang out with the Lurkers I knew from the boards some. The friendly warrior who escorted her? Shalandrax.
