Pessimism v. Optimism

I consider myself a pessimist. However, the view I take as the optimists can only be disappointed because things don't turn out as they expected, and pessimists can only be pleasantly surprised because things might happen that they didn't expect. Whether the results are positive or negative, the pessimist will say, "I told you so" or "I did not expect that."

As long as I set my expectations low, I can't be disappointed.
