Hrm. Granted, I'm not a member of the American electorate, but the democratic nomination race (unfortunate party name. Is the GOP non-democratic? :lol:) is really keeping the Democrats in the Canadian news with respect to the Republicans. Naturally, the question of bias comes into play, since a majority of Canadians have views which tend to coincide with the Democrats, and our news agency know their audience. So it might be that we're just more naturally interested in what the Democrats are doing as opposed to the Republicans... but I doubt that's all of it.

Anyways, my convoluted point is it might alienate some voters, but it might also draw some voters into your party, because of the "free" high-profile publicity.
