I played in the beta for a bit, and found it just the opposite. Soloing is just plain not possible. The world seems much more static than WoW, and the food pellets just didn't drop from the chute very fast no matter how I pushed the levers.
That's all from the beta, of course, they may have improved things since. Regardless, I don't think it's my kind of game.
