I've run into Xzin a number of times in the battlegrounds. He's not that hard to counter: just fear the priest, poly a mage, or do anything to break the sync (like Psychic Scream), and the characters are thereafter about as effective as about one-fifth of a player.
His real genius was in rolling Horde, thereby ensuring that the majority of his opponents would be clueless morons with minimal understanding of game mechanics or actual tactics. I've seen 20-30 players charge into the shredder and come out as a fine mist, completely unable to even formulate the concept of a counter.
