Then, not only is it prudent and moral, but it is tactically sound that you let that other someone know that if they commit to the attack, they're going to be aired out in high-caliber fashion. The whole running up the ensign before you open a broadside, and whatnot.
I have no qualms about concealed-carry or self-defense arms in general. It's all in a sense of fair play and practicality to defuse (or defeat) a hostile situation in your favor, and that is accomplished by an overt display of power.
This thing is designed to get a gun pointed at a person without them knowing you have a gun pointed at them. There's nothing defensive about that.
And if the intended purpose of this disguise is to remain armed in a society that prohibits self-defense weapons, what happens after the smoke settles and you have to make good on the report? Just how turning over a gun disguised as a cellphone is any better than handing over a small-frame 5-shot revolver? You're going to get boned either way, but the one is worse in the eyes of the law than the other.

Um... No. What you do is slide your cell phone back in to your purse and say that some random stranger came out of nowhere and defended you. Give the police a random vague discription. And be done with it.
All alone, or in twos,
The ones who really love you
Walk up and down outside the wall.
Some hand in hand
And some gathered together in bands.
The bleeding hearts and artists
Make their stand.
And when they've given you their all
Some stagger and fall, after all it's not easy
Banging your heart against some mad buggers wall.
"Isn't this where...."
