What I like to do with Gnolack or Balador when you release an MC'd mob is to immediately smack it with a stun so I save concussive blow if I can and Bloodrage if need be. On the pally I just try to not use a late fight hammer of justice.

Also I prefer you to MC a "squishier" target for a couple of reasons. One a caster when they break MC will hit you with soft melee or take some time to try and cast a spell at you. Both of those mean you are taking less damage or have more time to reapply the MC. I do not like priests MC'ing a melee mob unless that mob can get aggro and be killed by the other mobs. Those mobs are too dangerous afte the MC breaks.

Just some of my thoughts. But yeah the MC the medic sheep some of the less dangerous targets and kill the captain first (since he was the nastiest mob) worked quite well for us when we were in our upper 50's with just 4 people and didn't know how that highway worked. :)

Re-mind controlling wasn't much of an option, as usually once things broke, then I started tanking things (I tend to do that when a large, angry mob is headed for my priest) and I needed the healing. Still, I think we'll have to try MCing a healer mob and using his/her mana to serve our ends. Sounds fun and new, and will allow MC to be re-applied safely. In other uses of MC, we've always just hoped that MC lasted until the MCed mob died. When they did, I would charge and start tanking like any typical pull, just that there was one mob less. Much to think about...

Bonemage has a 59 warlock on Doomhammer, so you were probably thinking of him. My shelved 60 is a paladin.

This should be worth trying, as the medics are very near the zone-in, so failure is not terribly painful.

If this is the plan, Octord should try to get Curse of Shadows on there when he breaks. Mind Control is long enough that TS + quick reactions can get a CoS on there to help avoid another break before it's ready.

Conc is also in the Kargath Inn. I will get on ASAP after work and dinner.

Lianne is logged out right next to the 'Attunement to the Core' questgiver. She has about 20 shards for us to use for summoning if we need to.

Thanks again guys for the fantastically fun time on Friday. :) Gorkuk was an honorary tauren for the night. ;) I had much fun before the scheduled time and during, even though we're horribly overlevelled for BRD. We should do quick Incendius runs to get more folks the fancy fire resist bracers. There are only a couple of pulls at the beginning that need to be done to get to Incendius so the runs are very quick, but not so quick that you have to worry about the five instances per hour rule. GG's also got a mod (Thanks Psybie!) that does quick resets of the instance that works well for parties, but still has some minor issues when in raid.

Of course, there's also scholo, strat, UBRS, and LBRS to worry about. ;) I'm having so much fun with the higher end stuff. I had been a bit apprehensive about capping Mogo (because of how stagnant things got for Aleri and Eth when they hit 60), but now I'll actually be happy when she hits 60. Much love to the Lurkers , especially the Doomhammer refugees. :D

I can only hope the other group had as much fun as I did. :) I did miss mind control on the medics, but we had enough DPS it wasn't an issue. ;)

Yar last night was a blast. A quick Onyxia kill then a jump onto Terenas to get quite a few BRD quests done in another very fun group.

I do have to go back in but pretty much all the quests I have now will be doable in a "bar run and beyond", except for the relic coffers but I'm not too worried about that because I know that when we start getting good gear we're going to be going to the coffer room a lot to get mats for librams. :) But going to the bar will get angerforge, arglemach, ribbley, the thunderbrew recipies, and some other horde one. Then we get to go kill the emp (but not the princess) after that as well as get core attunement done.

I may try to be on later on Sunday, like 8:00 Terenas time to see if we can get a group for this as Treesh can make that time as well.

I really do want to get our Friday runs past BRD and into LBRS, scholo, strat. Get us all chances at our set items. And of course Dire Maul (we are big enough for East and North kill and tribute). Heck right now we are big enough to go anywhere so yeah we need to get out of BRD. :)

But I'm willing to go anywhere and as we showed Meowry even as an L57 kitty is tough enough to tank most of BRD still so if you need me to help you in there I'm very willing too, I don't need quests to drag me to places to help fellow lurkers. :)

Mogo may not be a priest, but she's always willing to play main healer to help folks out. :D I just have to figure out how to play her as secondary healer. ;) Since I got some practice with Nash main healing last night, I'm looking in your direction for the next time Necrali. ;) :D

Oh, and I did pick up some more enchanting mats on Mogo thanks to last night so Sunday (maybe even Saturday night since I'm not doing the stormrage raid on Saturday), the enchanting shop will be open. :)

A bit of a recap from last night, for the other group:

We had trouble rescuing Commander Gor'shak, didn't get it right until the 3rd try. This chewed up considerable time, but we needed it done, so we kept resetting the instance until we succeeded.

We went through the 5 elite pulls having much fun, as our CC allowed us to have one mob in play at a time, and Necrali got to have a pet in every fight. The Mind Controlled medics are great healer/DPS pets. We stormed our way to Bael'Gar, but forgot to wrap up his bits in a blanket. All the work, no quest credit...

After the second KoS quest, there is an external escort quest that takes place in the Burning Steppes and is a prereq to getting the quest to kill Angerforge. On the first attempt, some player's fingers were too fast and only 2 party members got to accept the quest. So, we went back for a second attempt so all party members could get it. On this attempt, it went much smoother, but poor Yuri got too far away from the escortee and failed the quest. So, that warranted a 3rd time. With that done successfully, it was now the time that the Taurens + one orc wrapped it up. Alram (another who lives in the Central time zone) headed to bed, so we took Conc to put us back to 5. He needed the escort quest done, so we did it a 4th time, and then headed back into BRD (obviously reset).

We proceeded smoothly to the bar, killed Ribbly, who humorously gouged Conc so many times that he was last on the damage taken in that fight, which really is NOT where you want a warrior to be. Durambar was not gouged a single time and was able to cover tanking duties while Conc played the part of a statue. We chewed through the bar patrons (Go! Go! Mage and Warlock DPS!) and prepared to take on Phalanx. It was a hairy fight, but being able to banish the firelord until he's last helped things out, as well as aggro juggling by the tanks so bandages could be applied when the Priest went OOM. I think we had TOO much CC (banish, seduce, sheep) and that hurt our DPS, which caused the fight to go as long as it did. We got the best possible drop from Phalanx, the Golem Skull Helm. (Praise the RNG!) Conc and Durambar squared off on the need roll, and Conc's pathetic 39 easily trounced Durambar's 29. (Curse the RNG!) Also, three Black Diamonds dropped in the bar, and Octord won all 3, but gave one to Durambar, as he is working on getting the Lesser Arcanum of Constitution. (Thanks, it's good to have the pity of friends when your luck with the RNG is crap!)

Somewhere in there we encountered Ambassador Flamelash, and Durambar won the Molten Fists that he dropped. They're mail, but my only +fire resist item, and the proc isn't bad.

We mowed down the Seven, and the chest offered up the Impervious Giant and Wraith Scythe. Conc and Durambar again squared off for the Impervious Giant, with the RNG again going Conc's way. Durambar got the leftover Wraith Scythe, but it's inferior to Thrash Blade and was vendored later. Conc offered up an Essence of Fire that he won earlier to Durambar, who gratefully took it, and then later transmuted it into an Essence of Earth, putting him 4 Essences of Earth shy of all the mats needed for his Enchanted Thorium Helm, making it much more than a consolation prize, as it's a helm I don't see me replacing until the expansion, as I'll probably never see MC.

We then made our way to the room with the 60 sec timer on mobs, and were able to light one brazier, pick up the second torch, and then wiped. Surrounded by mobs, the existance of a soulstone meant nothing. The early parts of the instance had respawned, and we then called it a night.
