Probably because the "old" forum hasn't been officially superceded yet. It's still accepting registrations, and Bolty hasn't shut it down yet.

I guess I can wait. :) It was a habit of mine to use that Banner link to reset my position in the forum. It was just a little disconcerting to be reading the new forum, and clicking the banner "Forum" link and be looking at the old forum.
