Whoa cool, just saw this.
Does it have a singleplayer campaign? Dunno if I could really compete online, being on 56k and all.

no single player, multiplayer only, thats why its free. You dont even have to own wolfenstien. Its pretty fun though and is based off the quake 3 engine which has really good net code so give it a shot... wait... the game is a 250 meg download and if your on 56k then you probably wont be :(

Nah, I can download it, no problem. I'd just have to set it up in FlashGet, and it might take 2 overnight stretches or so.
I was more worried about my ping. <_<

I gave it a shot.. the price is right after all. I thought it was pretty good. I haven't played RTCW to know if there are any major differences or not. I love charging up that beach trying to cover for your engineer while a bunch of nazis are shooting at you from the bunkers and rocks... or limping up the beach getting into position to fire a rocket into those bunkers :)

I think it's fun as all hell.
I'm still trying to tweak my system for it, though. My FPS can drop fast in open-air firefights.
I haven't really tried any classes but the Soldier, but hauling around an MG42 is way cool.
What server(s) is/are everyone playing on? And what name do you use as your profile? I'm using Brown...

Seriously, have you ever considered upgrading? Is it a location-issue or a money-issue? Even the people in the sticks here in Norway at least get ISDN..

Eh, it's more a money issue. Although I wouldn't be surprised if finding a decent carrier up here in the willies (Marietta, Ohio... it doesn't get any more antique than this) was nigh impossible.
56k's always been enough for me in the past. The Diablos work fine with it, and so do most MMORPGs. I've never been a huge FPS player, so alittle lag (okay, alot of lag) wasn't that much of a detractor.

I play under the name BobThePumpkin, but I rarely find time to play. I usually sort the servers by ping time and pick one close to the top that has a decent number of people on it, but I don't frequent any one server.
