Just got around to biting the bullet and applied 1.12 and I do not find any sites that show things like the new unique items or any of the new items or Rune words added after 1.10. what got nerfed and what was enhanced? Any post I could find answers, thanks.

patch 1.12 didn't do any changes in terms of items and stuff. Corni ran a file comparing tool against 1.11b and 1.12 txt files which didn't show any differences (even the dumb txt mistakes are still here), and any hardcoded changes should have been noticed by now.
1.12 allows to play without inserted disc. This works if you do a full install of both D2 and LoD, copy the D2xMusic.mpq file from LoD additionally into your D2 installation, and perform an upgrade to 1.12
