I love it! Original and entertaining; who could ask for more? I love the subtle text that pops up after the announcer says something, such as, "Don't post something that’s already in the STICKIES or else people might laugh at you," then below step 2 or 3 it says, "PEOPLE WILL LAUGH AT YOU!"... Hilarious!

While I loved the animation, I'm a little bit concerned about the language in the start of it, as far as what it might say about out language standards here. :( So, I don't know if stickying it would be a good idea.

(Then again, maybe people would be more likely to click the link if they saw a "language advisory" in the post that links it!)

Isn't it funny how it does just that? Advertisers are really playing to this element of human nature too. My favorite one of late is for one of those erectile dysfunction drugs (Cialis?). Their disclaimer says "erections lasting more than 4 hours require immediate medical attention". While I acknowledge this can be a real problem, most men I know would be bragging to all their buddies for weeks. :blink: That warning probably sells more of the product than the rest of the ad ever could.

[edit]Changed :lol: to :blink: to reflect my real intention of this point. I said that it can be a real problem but it is one that people inflict on themselves. I was laughing at the gullibility of the users, not the resulting problem. It amazes me what people will do to themselves because it is what they are brainwashed into thinking they need. Just look at all the ads and the press that this subject is getting. The masses follow like sheep.

Lochnar, I gotta throw something out to the topic. I don't want this thread to get hijacked by erectile misfortunes, but you probably should know that it's NOT cool to have an erection for more than four hours, just like the ad says. I'm an EMT, I have seen such stuff--even the use of illicit drugs to get the same effect. These calls are more common than you'd think; people think that if one Viagra works well, two will work better. Persistent erections require prompt transport to a hospital because tissue damage could result to...I'll just say "valuable organs." It is also quite painful, as it is impossible to urinate while erect. Patients with a history of heart problems, high blood pressure or strokes are also increasing their normal risks.

The point of my post is, it is NOT advisiable to try to make yourself into Superman here. There are medical consequences.

(I apologize to anyone offended by this post.) I realize this is at the very periphery of what is being discussed, but I felt that I needed to make clear a very real danger most people wouldn't take seriously.

In addition to getting yourself killed through your own spectacular stupidity, you can also earn a Darwin award for sterilizing yourself by the same means - it's harder, but on the plus side you get to live. A big percent of awards handed out for self-neutering are given to men who tried some real bizarre things to "get it on", only to have a valuable bit of anatomy fall off/require amputation when he couldn't get it back off.

I was under the impression that the Lounge was something along the lines of PG-13. Then again, I guess some of us have children that may or may not be lurking about (ha-ha, I made a funny.) Still, I think it'd make a pretty amusing addition to back up Elric's rules :)

Which one of those mods is Bolty? I think it's the one on the far right, but I could be wrong. I think the mystery to be solved is to examine closely the make up and determine which one is most tasteful. That would be Griselda. Then it is a matter if trying to figure out which looks like a Lemming in disguise, and that leaves Bolty as the last one.

But how oh how did you ever get them to post for the shot? Well Done, Mr K!

Yeah, that one's a pretty painful way to go.

It should be noted that the damage is caused - primarily - by loss of circulation resulting from blood remaining in the holding position for so long. This is no excuse for men not to go four hours. Just ... do something else, some of the time ;)


On a side note, some men can in fact pee while ... Yeah. Anyway. Not myself, but I've read of people who can. Must be some weird genetic fluke.
