I find the ongoing coverage by Ars Technica is the best, if you don't mind going too in depth.

I've read both articles, but something is not clear to me. I understand the architecture side of things, but can't see how it delivers the exponential scaling claimed. I thought it was a 'fundamental law' that processors would scale less than linearly (each processor added requires an additional number of cycles dedicated to coordination activities).
Any hints?
