World Community Grid - ShadowHM - 05-28-2007
Hi
In the latest newsletter/magazine from my alumni association, I was urged to consider signing up for The Grid, to aid York University's research programmes. When I took a look, it seemed that it would not conflict with my own use of my computer most of the time, and it did have a handy snooze button I could set for those times when I did want all the RAM to myself.
I was amazed at how many universities and other organizations were already on The Grid. Chances are that at least one of the 344 partners listed are researching something that you, too, would be willing to support. So I decided to pass on the url so all here could have a chance to take a look.
My computer is, at this time, calculating some protein-protein interactions in aid of the Muscular Dystrophy project. :cool:
