The main thing I'm looking for in a mod is new stuff, for example new skills, new monsters and the such as well as a good storyline.

Anyone got some suggestions about good mods that you REALLY loved?

Hail Tai Daishar,

Varaya and Khan's Middle Earth Mod was pretty good, though I must admit I have not played it since 1.09 was released; I'm not sure what it is like at the moment. Seven Lances is also excellent, but the story is unchanged in it - the skills are rebalanced though, and the new items are REALLY cool! However, I'm not a big mod player: there could be better ones out there I've not heard of.

I am enjoying Seven Lances. It's the same story but four things appeal

- it's harder, often in quite clever ways. I get the feeling that Foxbat, the primary mod-maker, has anticipated where players like to ease off and trapped those places with extra monsters

- the skills have been re-worked and some skills which are pretty hopeless in LOD are magnificent. My 28 ravens were a sight to behold :)

- the item and cubing system has been revised which appeals greatly to a packrat/obsessive cuber like me

- lastly there is a good online experience

For other mods have a look at the forums on the Phrozen Keep, there are separate forums for a number of mods:

Roland's Dark Tower mod also sounds interesting
