hey I was taking a look at michel dashow's site to see if he happened to update it and he did! though sadly his update was for a game that blizzard had apparently been working on for a few years and then cancled. anyways mdashow got blizzards permission to put up some of the concept art for the cancled game.
The premece of the game was apparently about dragons taking over the world or something. the game kind of sounded like a rpg/rts/tactical/fighter game. sounds neat eh? yeah well heres the link! :)

The plotline reminds of a story I wrote at The Warcraftiii.net fan fic forum... when I come to think of it, it resembles my story a lot :D
Anyway, thanks for the link, looking at the concept art and hearing about the plotline makes me sad it got cancelled :)

The Lava Dwarf concept is pretty neat, but I went <neo>"whoa"</neo> when I read this part of the caption:
"His tattoos are in the Dwarven language... it doesn't make for a great concept sketch here, but I developed an entire written language for both the Elves and the Dwarves." (emphasis mine)
Two written languages? Jebus, what a lot of work to put into a cancelled project.

I like this one based purely on the fact that it shows a 3D modelled version of the sketch. The end result is amazingly similar to the concept art. Both images are also very cool :)

What would have been called had it been released, that guy holding the especially big double-edged knout :rolleyes: looks like a night elf from war craft 3. Is it a spinoff or something totally new?

keep in mind that the game was canceled and was in devlopment by blizzard north, the makers of diablo and diablo 2. not the guys who made warcraft and starcraft. and as for the name I would guess that they hadnt decided.

good point, it did look good, such a shame. Does anyone know anything else about it? Was it going to be an RPG or... oh wait nevermind that's an obvious one. I guess they never got that far.
