Another diablo bug

I created a new mule and had a friend hold a game for me while I moved stuff around. When I was done he was halfway through a hell run, and as I wanted to coop with him on a hell/hell run I waited. While waiting I cleared part of level 1 of the dungeon with my (pardon the pun) level 1 character. Suddenly, a scroll of apoc dropped from a creature. Is this a known bug?

MP game/normal difficulty. I was on level one my friend was somewhere between level 13 and level 16. I found an apoc scroll. Must be somehow related to him killing something there which dropped/switched places with a drop I should have gotten. Nexttime maybe he´ll get a club of the sky and I´ll get an obsidian zodiac.

This is possible lag.

Sometimes when me and my friends game and I drop my items in town near Odgen, they will see it by Wirt on their screen. Its quite hilarious actually. Im not sure if its the same type of lag or bug, but it sounds similiar to what you were describing.
