When playing Diablo in solo-multiplayer mode, I have noticed some strange things concerning monster item drops.
Occasionally, when a monster drops an item upon death (e. g. an axe), there are two axes appearing. When I point with the mouse hand at one of them, both axes are highlighted. After a few seconds, one of the two axes disappears automatically.
What I found even more strange: When a few items dropped by monsters are already on the ground and another item is dropped by a killed monster, occasionally one of the items on the ground suddenly disappears. I couldn't find the disappeared item anywhere. But after leaving the level (via town portal or via stairs), upon re-entering the level, the missing item re-appears exactly in the position it was before its disappearance.
I have even seen this when picking an item out of the inventory and dropping it on the ground in dungeon: When the item from the inventory is placed on the ground, it happens rarely that another item that is already on the ground just disappears. The only way for me to get it back is to leave the level and re-enter it. Upon re-entering the level, the disappeared item appears again where it was before. Anyone else ever noticed this?
