In China, everything is about control. Just try to google up information with the keywords "china human rights torture amnesty international" in China, and all information in this regard will be blocked (they just brought a TV report in Germany about this). What the Chinese government wants is absolute control over "healthy" (young) people who don't play "sick" things like WOW that could possibly prevent them from bringing the maximum performance for the new capitalist Chinese system on its way to take over a brave new world ;)
