Please explain what was actually bigoted about it.

This line "I think its because for most people(males att least) being gay is mostly about exciting sex or at least starts that way." exhibits either an extreme ignorance of sexuality or is attempting to classify a group of people by the behavior of a subset of that group. It's no more fair to say that being gay "is mostly about exciting sex" than it is to say being straight "is mostly about having as many kids humanly as possible."
