You confuse liberal with Democrat. Democrat is a party, liberal is a political ideology. The Democrats aren't even that liberal, they are more left-wing (by American standards, fairly 'centrist' by international standards).

Besides, saying that such and such people do something as well is no excuse for another group doing it, and is most certainly not a reason to not say anything about it. I am just as much (if not more, as it would make everyone on my side seem stupid to people who generalize and think in terms of "my side vs. their side") against idiocy by people who agree with me as I am against the shenanigans of Democrats, the tomfoolery of Republicans, and the imbecility of Greens.

Are you one of those people who would justify the wrongs of our current President by saying that Clinton did bad things, too? This commits many logical fallacies, one of which is assuming that everyone who ever speaks out against the current administration was a supporter of Clinton and incapable of seeing the wrongs of that administration.
