Thanks! You are most helpful. I was able to ditch the "close tab" icon. That one was easy. "Basics" won't work which is a shame.

I don't know if I want to install TBP. It's a nice extension, but I only have use for maybe 10% of its features. I was hoping for a userChrome.css fix.

I already use and :wub: miniT. That's the kind of extension I like. It's small, compact, and one-dimensional. I hate installing extensions that offer me a million options when I only want one.

Your advice about replacing the "File Edit View...." thing I will have to re-read later. I've already removed the Help and Go dealies, but custom css hacks are a bit over my head.
