The selection of the sacrifice is made by a council composed of the senior class president, faculty advisors, the local mayor, and the treasurer of the 4-H club. The evening's excitement is enhanced by not know who will be going home with whom, and who will be going home at all.
Just another example of how "on the edge" Americans live.
