Somewhere between pure communism (ownership is forbiden) and anarchy(grab what you can) rests our system where people are assured that their labor bears fruit. But, his poser is akin to asking one to explain how civilization came about, from tribalism to Aristotle, etc. I don't even want to touch the "existence of countries is some kind of hypocrisy" as it would again require an explanation of the fractional reality of socio-political systems, and their disparate evolutions.
