With Auto Attack selected, hitting the "attack" key, or simply right-clicking the target, puts you into auto attack mode where you'll keep attacking the enemy until it's dead. If you've been hammering away at the "attack" key, you've been turning your attack repeatedly on and off, which would certainly slow your attack rate. |
