Buying World of Warcraft

One thing about used copies with World of Warcraft - the CD key used to generate an account cannot be used again.  The game will run, but you won't be able to make an account and without an account you can't go online so used copies are basically worthless.

Exactly, there's always the chance that someone tried it, did not like it and wants to sell it, thus, despite the fact that he hardly used it, it's worthless and this is something I could end up buying.
