Fresh LAN games needed

So it's more of a sim, which kinda rules it out for LAN play, as most of my buddies have never played a flight sim before and would soon be frustrated by my 1337/MaD skillz  ;)  .

Actually, there are Cooperative missions and Campaign missions for the MP aspect of the sim as well, so you don't neccessarily have to fly against each other.

You can conceivably lump together as a squadron and take on some AI-controlled opponents in a mission.

And you don't need to fly, either. Many of the flyable crates have at least a back-seat gunner (think of the T-47s on Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back) and you can hitch a ride aboard the Heinkel and the Russian TB-3 bombers and man a gun position instead of piloting.



The real downer, though: the version 2.01 patch is 102 megabytes in size. Good news is, the patch isn't about fixing game-killing bugs or whatnot, but rather instead offers new maps, new campaigns, and adds some more airplanes. Version 2.02 fixes some glitches with the newly-added planes and clocks in at only 20 MB (though you need to have the 2.01 monster installed in order to apply 2.02 properly)
